Home Page Design
With just a few short seconds to engage an online visitor before he or she clicks away from your website, your home page needs to do a lot. You might be tempted to cram in everything you can—after all, you have a lot to say and sell, and you don’t want to miss a chance, right? Good home pages don’t just throw information at visitors. The best home pages quickly communicate your company identity and purpose and direct users to your most important calls to action. And they do it with eye-catching graphics, intuitive navigation and flawless function.
The best home pages quickly communicate your company brand and purpose. Successful home page design is an exercise in prioritization, adherence to your user’s experience, and restraint. If an element doesn’t do anything to meet the user’s immediate need, it doesn’t belong on your home page.

At It is always a challenge to redesign and organize a website for a company that offers a variety of services and products. At Gasper Landscaping, Inc. we designated four distinct divisions of Gasper as Landscape Design & Construction, the Home & Garden Showplace, the Exterior Furnishings Gallery, and the Do-It-Yourself Hardscape & Building Supply. After the Gasper Homepage was designed, each of the divisions has its own division page visually represented by color, photography, descriptive text, and impressive testimonial quotes from clients. The company blog, Expert Advice, covers all four divisions and is placed in the "corporate" menu at the top of the page along with links to coupons, catalogs, and about pages. Each of the four major divisions is accessed through a sub-menu to the right.
