Peer-reviewed, continuing education journal for the veterinary community, produced for the North American Veterinary Community, NAVC. Design is organized by three major departments: Essentials, Features, and Vital Signs. Departments begin with a divider page that includes eye contact with a patient and a contents listing. The divider introduces the department color, name, and icon. Articles include a lead image with a compelling caption and headline. Content includes multiple points of entry, such as figures, boxes, and tables with distinctive callouts within the text, subheads, sidebars, and pulled content boxes. Generous whitespace at article beginning and between elements is included to avoid overwhelming the reader.
